tag;; Tohru, anyone else who happens to be at the house
A vacation.
That was what Kisa had in mind when she left her house without a word. It was seemingly spontaneous, though it'd really been a long time in the making. Even if it didn't seem like it, Kisa really had been contemplating what happened and what to do about it. The initial solution was to hide away and see if things would just smooth over. However, ignoring the problem didn't help at all. If anything, it made things worse as the days went by. Every single day, there was some point where she thought about confiding to her mother about the situation, but she just couldn't bring herself to do it. She couldn't bring herself to even speak at all, even to herself. It was those moments when she tried that she remembered what happened during school, and the fear and doubt that welled up in her chest became overwhelming to the point of tears. It upset her that she was so weak..but she couldn't find any more strength to defend herself. In the end, she decided to try to seek solace somewhere outside of the Sohma Estate.
However, this decision wasn't thoroughly planned out, and the young girl ended up standing at the gates to the park, staring ahead at the playground equipment. So she might've said a vacation, but that was honestly not possible at the moment. Sure, she had allowance, but she didn't have any luggage or any real destination in mind. The next best thing would be staying at the park until she felt better, which seemed the best option at the moment. Kisa took a few steps into the park, fully intending on going through with that plan..until she caught sight of a group of kids staring at her. Kisa paused, blinking at the kids - they seemed to have just gotten out of their elementary classes for the day. To any other person, the little kids would've seemed harmless, just normal children. Kisa, however, bit on her bottom lip hard and took a step back. It wasn't out of fright that one might have running into a shady stranger at night, but instead the memories that their expressions brought up. How was it that even kids a few years younger than her could stare at her the same way her classmates did?
With no destination in mind, Kisa ran, eyes squeezed shut the whole way, trying to block out the images in her mind. It seemed that everywhere she went, she kept getting those same looks - she hadn't really noticed it until the teasing began. Everyone looked at her like she was some kind of..animal. Or..no, not everyone. Most of the Sohmas who knew about the curse didn't, and especially not the other zodiac members. The only problem was that the two she knew the best weren't around. That left the others, and even less that she could run to at the moment. The majority of them lived at the estate, which was not where she wanted to be at the moment. Ayame had his shop that she was probably at..but she wasn't sure where that was, nor did she really want to try to find it - no doubt there'd be outsiders around there. Which only left one place for her to go.
Kisa began slowing down to a walk and opened her eyes, breathing heavy from exertion. She glanced around as she tried to catch her breath, taking in the seemingly dense forest surrounding the narrow path she was on, before letting her gaze turn forward to land on a house in a clearing. Shigure's house. Though her body protested it, Kisa sprinted towards the house, not entirely sure why her feet brought her here, or even why she was anxious to be in the other Sohmas' company. If nothing else, they'd be sure to call the estate to let them know where she was. This was the thought that popped in her mind just as she knocked desperately on the door. What if Shigure did call the estate? They'd end up questioning her about why she ran away, wouldn't they? Kisa paused mid-knock and began backing away, suddenly unsure of being at the house. However, she only made it a step away from the door before she collapsed in a pile of clothes and tiger, taking deep breaths in an attempt to calm down. The sudden fright mixed with the exhaustion hadn't gone over too well on her respiratory system, and that wasn't counting the stress. Great, if she was worried about them calling before, they'd definitely call now..
