»»Overall Appearance: Even though he is of average height, Itsuki is rather thin for his age. Aside from this though he looks like a healthy young boy. He tends to stand upright and tries his best to keep himself looking tidy and clean. He generally has a thoughtful or inquisitive look upon his face but will change to a friendly warm-hearted smile when he notices someone is looking at him.

Itsuki never really has any particular kind of style or preference when it comes to clothing. As long as the clothes are relatively comfortable and not overly colorful then he will probably wear it. For the most part he will just start his day by grabbing the first set he sees and putting it on without giving it much thought. The only thing that never seems to change is the beanie atop his head and a jacket, both brown in color. Because of this, his parents try to buy him clothes that match leading to a somewhat unimpressive wardrobe.

»»Personality: Overall Itsuki can be seen as the 'silent observer'. While he does not actively avoid interaction with others, he is the kind of person who prefers to watch and listen to others rather than do the talking himself. He would hate it though if he was ever entirely excluded from a group or game. So he actively tries to include himself in some small way and often tends to go along with peer pressure in order to avoid becoming the 'ghost' of the class. Other than that, and maybe because of that, he will just let fate decide his friends for him.

Itsuki tries his best to work hard and help others, but because of his health he is often excluded from sports and most kinds of work that are physically tasking. Years of being told to 'sit this one out' or 'let someone else take care of it' has caused him overtime to have little faith in himself. Even if he has done something many times before, when asked to do something he still tends to sound unsure of himself when agreeing to help.

Outside of class he is a rather curious and friendly boy. That is not to say that he isn't that way during class, but rather that it shows more when he is away from his peers. He likes to go out and just wander aimlessly in an attempt to find some new quirky shop or area he had not been before. Some part of him wishes that by doing so he might encounter some form of magic by doing so like in the manga and stories he reads. Even if he doesn't though, its always fun to see new things and to listen to the stories of those he meets. He always says that he learned far more by doing this than what he learns at school.

»»History: Itsuki life has, overall, been rather uneventful. Most of his families troubles started and for the most part ended before he was even born. There was a time where the relationship between his parents was heavily strained due to a mix of his american father's reoccurring culture shock and difficulty in maintaining employment. It took several years but it was through sheer endurance and love for his family that his father managed to persevere until he adjusted and landed his current job as a teacher at Kaibara High school. There are still times where signs of past trouble appear, but Ikki remains largely oblivious to that part of his families past.

After he was born Itsuki experienced life much like how you would expect your average child would. He played a lot, was a pain in the neck for his parents, got in fights with his brother, but was otherwise a plain and well behaved boy. He picked up an interest in cooking from his mother and grandmother, who lived with them after his grandfather passed away, and his father tried to instill in him a passion for culture and history like he did his brother. Itsuki loved to hear stories of past history from his father but his father ultimately failed when they sparked an interest for fantasy instead.

Itsuki's health problems did not become evident until he was about eight years old. He had always shown signs of the illness in that he would become fatigued more easily than he normally should be, but it was then that he had suddenly fainted. He and his friends had decided to race to the nearby park and were running down the sidewalk ball in hand when suddenly Itsuki became dizzy. In seconds he stumbled over his own feet and fainted, falling into the street. His friends, whom were both faster than him, hadn't even notice so he was lucky that a passerby quickly noticed him. It was later discovered that he had an illness of the heart, inherited from his mothers side of the family.

Since then his parents and friends took extra care not to let him do anything overly strenuous or at least to take over should he become dizzy. He began to spend more time on the sidelines when others would play sports and the like. In class he still had a good relationship with others, but outside of that his interaction with his friends faded. Eventually he stopped playing with his friends outside in order to spend time taking walks around town. This formed his hobby of exploring randomly.

Recently there had been an increase in juvenile behavior in his school, particularly around an unusual girl by the name of Kisa Sohma. Though he had at one point taken an interest in the girls unusual hair and eye color he did not interact with the girl very much and knew nothing about her. Even so, his friends began to take part by fluctuating between ridiculing her for her unusual colors and ignoring her completely. Itsuki naturally joined in as well as he did not know her very well and it seemed an easy way to maintain his relationship with his friends. In class he began to ignore her as well or laugh at her when she said something.
