A very beautiful young man walked along the paths surrounding his family owned onsen. He touched all flowers with a gentle touch as he clipped away the dead and decaying flowers that were crowding any new growth the plant could have. Ritsu liked for everything to be perfect, and although only members of the Sohma family visited the springs, he could never be too sure when there would be an unexpected visit. This onsen was also his home. With a blank mind, he snipped away. He liked to do what he could to bring beauty to the springs – his entire family did. He wasn't a good cook like his father, nor a good hostess like his mother. But he tried to do what he could to find his place. Even if that did include training in his parents fields.
With a few final snips to the flowers, the man walked away. He never really liked to examine his work in anything that he did. Something was sure to be wrong with it. Somebody was bound to go and point it out later. Ritsu never bothered to look back at it. He continued like that along the floweres that surrounded the house and made his way around to the front of it in time for his mother to call him in. She praised him. She always praised him. But Ritsu knew better. He had taken way too long to finish.
